Taira Malaney Premieres New Film ‘Turtle Walker’
Taira Malaney’s debut feature documentary Turtle Walker has its World Premiere at DOC NYC Film Festival on the 17th of November in New York City.
This film tells the incredible story of Satish Bhaskar, who in the late 1970s, embarked on an epic journey along India’s spectacular coastlines, living alongside rare sea turtles, to unravel the mysteries that surround them – and set out to save the enigmatic sea creatures from extinction.
And after it’s world premiere, join us at The Explorers Club for an exclusive “sneak peek” special screening of the film with Q&A on Friday, November 22.
The film is produced by Tiger Baby and Emaho Films in association with HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, the mission-focused impact studio behind the Oscar-nominated film All That Breathes.
Stay after the screening to hear from director Taira Malaney, EC50 2023, about the film’s journey and the team’s plans for an extensive impact campaign to protect sea turtles.
