Monaco – A Day of Exploration

Explorers far and wide joined us in Monaco for A Day of Exploration March 21-24.

The second collaboration between the Yacht Club de Monaco and The Explorers Club featured incredible storytellers, meaningful conversations, and once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.

At A Day of Exploration, three members of the EC50 took the main stage to share their work of wonders and protection of our ocean world.

Daniel Cáceres Bartra opened the day with Protecting Peru’s Big 5, offering a compelling look at conservation in one of the planet’s most biodiverse regions.

Before lunch break, Arzucan “Zuzu” Askin captivated the audience with Sharks of the Anthropocene, sharing her firsthand experiences working with tiger sharks and other marine life in the Maldives.

Andreas B. Heide, EC50 Class of 2026, shared his experience as the captain of the Arctic sailing vessel, Barba, which serves as a platform for scientific collaboration and storytelling.
