Her students consistently achieve top honors in international competitions, reflecting her dedication to unlocking potential and advancing scientific achievement.

Over 15 years, I worked as a coordinator of science research in low-income, middle-income, and high-income school districts. There is an enduring divide in education, particularly in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). My organizations, the iResearch Foundation (Hidden Prodigy Project; HiPP) and the iResearch Corporation aim to promote excellence and equity in STEAM education.
Many black and brown community students experience Imposter Syndrome related to their abilities in science. The lack of representation from underrepresented and underprivileged communities in STEAM stifles innovation, hampers scientific exploration, and serves as a barrier to students selecting science majors and conducting research during their collegiate studies.
My overarching goal through my initiatives is to dismantle these barriers and foster student participation in scientific research. I aspire to increase global innovation by empowering women, underrepresented, and underprivileged groups to become inventors and scientists. I encourage my students with the quote, “If you dream it, complete the work to make your dream a reality.” My mission is to support students in discovering new possibilities within themselves and the world and to help them gain experiences that may have previously seemed out of reach.

“My mission is to support students in discovering new possibilities within themselves and the world and to help them gain experiences that may have previously seemed out of reach.”

Guiding over 2,000 young minds through the process of scientific discovery has revealed the boundless potential that arises when curiosity meets determination and grit. Each research project represents more than an academic achievement; it is a testament to the resilience, creativity, and intellectual growth of my students.
Their successes hold deep meaning for me because they reflect the transformative power of education and mentorship. Watching students evolve from uncertain beginners into confident researchers has reinforced my commitment to creating a supportive environment where they can explore, innovate, and push the boundaries of their abilities. Their achievements remind me that the absolute measure of my work lies not only in the projects completed but also in the young individuals empowered to chase their dreams and contribute meaningfully to the world.
